Love it!

This is my favorite picture from the photo shoot. My goal was to get a picture of Tyler with his bottom teeth showing because there's only such a short window they have that look :) This was more than I could have even hoped for. Thanks Jolene!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! This is my Christmas card this year. I didn't get around to mailing anything, but have enjoyed receiving cards from friends and family. This shoot was actually a last minute decision during Landon's vacation week early in December and so I hadn't prepared for cards.

We have had a wonderful year. We welcomed Tyler Robert on April 20th. He has such a sweet disposition and is happy as can be. He is 8 months now and pulling up on everything. Britton has been getting big time into Lego Duplos. He likes to build 'church'. Little does he know I have a Buzz Lightyear set for him on Christmas morning :) I might be more excited than he is :) That's the joy of living through your children on Christmas. Britton switched over into a big boy bed and is enjoying it. When I see him in it, he seems like a little boy and not a toddler anymore.

Landon completed the basement this year and did a wonderful job! We are so excited to have the extra space and one less project. He has 18 months of residency left in Urology. It's getting closer! I have been busy with the kids and done some projects on the side. I got really into gardening and landscaping this year; we landscaped the front of our house.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas! We are so grateful to have the Gospel in our lives and know about Jesus Christ and how he lived and died for us. We hope you will all feel His love and peace and enjoy your Christmas season.

Vertical Ascent

So, guess who surprised us and crawled up the stairs?! Wow, he's growing up way too fast.

Let it snow, Let is snow, Let it snow

We got 8+ inches of snow a few days ago. I put Tyler in the pack n play and Brit was content playing Duplo Legos, so I went outside to shovel for a minute. I heard Britton open the garage door, "Hi Mommy" he called to me outside. But he didn't come into the garage - or close the door. So a minute later I went to check on him. I found him getting ready to come outside! No pants, but at least he was thinking to get his boots (wrong feet) and hat on.

Trim up the tree

We debated even having a tree this year because Tyler is crawling, putting everything in his mouth, and pulling up on everything. But we knew Britton would love it. He's talked about lights on a Christmas tree ever since last year - and the monorail around it. So, we decided we could partition it off in the corner and block it from Tyler. I'm so glad we did, because Brit had a blast decorating it.

Landon pointed out how Britton was putting the ornaments on the very very tip of the branches. Oh boy- we cracked up! It was so adorable. And we didn't even fix anything - like the 8 ornaments clustered right together at Brit's height :) The tree's for him this year, right? It adds character :) He even got to put the star on top.

It was such a special time. Music was piping through the computer from Pandora. I had entered "Ella Fitzgerald & Bing Crosby Holiday" and was transported back to the 50's. We had wassail simmering on the stove top and Ty trying to attack the lights....

Landon took this picture - he said that while he was feeding him he was being really funny. I love the hair and the belly rolls :)

Thanksgiving

We hosted our second family Thanksgiving and had 17 people total. It was wonderful! I cooked a 22 1/2 lb turkey which turned out to be too much, but oh well - leftovers! What a wonderful day - family and food! Thanks for making the drive!

Happy as always...

Here's Landon and Britton enjoying a little boy time - nothing quite like Zelda on the Wii. Boy bonding time.

The joys of being second born

Britton played over at his friend H's house a few days ago. When I came to pick him up, H's mom said, "I have to show you what Brit made," and showed me this cute gingerbread house. He was so excited about it! His favorite part to eat later were the mini marshmallows. Anyways, hours later at home, I was on the computer in the kitchen, Britton was taking a nap and Tyler was crawling around on the floor. I suddenly realize Ty had been quiet for a few moments. I looked down to see him chomping on a chocolate piece that Britton must have dropped on the floor when he wasn't a fan of it.
