Sheer fun

Last week we went to Brit's friend's birthday party. I decided that Brit would like a balloon, too, and so this is him enjoying his 'birthday balloon' even though it's nowhere near his birthday :)

What's Brit been up to?

Yesterday, Brit had a few 'firsts'. His first cut. When the dishwasher is open, he loves to grab the sharpest thing, aka a knife, and take it. I don't know how he always finds the knives. Guess the handles look different, but he'll even grab a butter knife if there's no sharp knife to grab. I went after him right away and thought all was fine, until he came up to me a minute later and I looked down and saw blood on my pajama pants and his bloody finger. It was really bleeding and it took 3 band-aids over each other to create a blood barrier. But he didn't like having something on his finger and pulled the band-aids off. After a few more bandaging times and many band-aids later, all is well.



He also colored his first picture. I picked him up from 'Club Kids' at the Mayo gym and I got this work of art :)




Not really a first, but Brit loves when I lie down and he can climb on me. He just likes to balance and stand up. He's always had such great balance and loves challenging himself. We love our little Brit!

Well, we finally found the card we use to transfer pictures to the computer, and hence we can update the blog! Ever since we've been working on putting up the drywall, our home has been packed away in various places, and so some things have been lost for awhile! Here are a few pictures of the basement now that the walls are up. Because of an upcoming test, there hasn't been a lot of time to work on the basement, so, not much has happened recently. The next step is to paint the walls, then we can put up the doors and trim. It will be nice to have a little more space, especially with another baby on the way!
