Our Vacation to Disney World!
We were so lucky to go to Walt Disney World with my family in the middle of December. The weather was PERFECT - 75 to 80 degree highs, which we especially appreciated as we learned that Minnesota was in the negative numbers and snowing. We were in Florida for a week which was a perfect amount. We got to see everything we wanted ;) Britton was a really good guy. He missed a lot of naps, but finally learned how to sleep on our shoulders, sucking his thumb. I guess I have him trained to sleep when it's quiet and dark, so it took a bit of time to adjust. But even when he was tired, he's still be good as long as we held him. I think he was overstimulated the whole time we were there. There's nothing like having a baby to recognize how loud a place is. I never realized before how every show and ride at Disney is loud until I'm trying to keep Brit sleeping. Oh well, he made it and slept a lot when we returned home. He's back to his usual happy self now. It was so fun to be able to meet up with family in different combinations and have the fun memories to keep. Thank you so much, Mom and Dad!

Landon's Trip to China
Landon just got back a week ago from a trip to Shanghai, China. Mayo Clinic flew him over there to present a poster at the Urology Conference. Many people have asked about the trip and so I'm posting some pictures/ video clips for them. I was hoping that Landon would do it so he could add some commentary, but unless we all wait for another 3 1/2 years when residency is over, that's not going to happen since he's so busy. Some things Landon told me: They have some beautiful and impressive buildings/ skyscrapers. Even better than in the States. The air pollution is bad. Pedestrians have to fend for themselves when crossing the street. Shoe shiners/ salespeople bother you over and over to buy from them. The hotel was beautiful and it was only a Holiday Inn. Almost no one spoke English, hence getting dropped off at the wrong place by a taxi and not being able to find his way for over an hour. You bargain prices, always. Landon bought a coat/ shirt for me and bargained down so much the guy said, 'You cheap American'. I guess that was supposed to be a compliment. Imagine Chinese food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (which doesn't taste like the American stuff). It was about 16+ hours flying time each way. He liked using the train. He wished he had a map in English. He had fun at the conference and sight seeing and even saw our friend, Muammer Kendirci there. Welcome home, Landon!
