My Handsome Lawn Guy

I just had to get a picture of Landon fertilizing the lawn. He looked so cute and concentrated. We
knew we had to do something this year when we saw our brown grass after the snow melted. So here we go...the beginning of the lawn wars. We already have little tunnels dug from moles and we're anticipating the weeds and thistles from last year. At least this year, the sod won't require as much watering as the first year it was laid. We'll have to make sure to enjoy the lawn this year instead of just working on it. Maybe a nice little picnic?

32 vs. 34 weeks

Today marks 34 weeks. It's comforting to know that if the baby were born now, it's really unlikely that there would be any complications that would require a long hospital stay. I have 3 more weeks before being considered 'full-term' which is 37 weeks. Today I washed lots of baby clothes in preparation for hanging them up. It's amazing how lucky I've been to have so many people give me clothes. It's a big help to us. It's exciting to get everything organized and ready. I have my hospital overnight bag almost complete. We bought a car seat last week, and today or tomorrow I'm going to get a pack n play (aka crib). I'm still feeling great and have been able to get back to walking on the treadmill the last few weeks. My back pain only lasted about 3 weeks. I'm so glad that's over - at least for now. I continue to feel the baby move a lot. Now it's lot of rolling and, what I figure, must be 'readjusting' his position. Sometimes it's scary to see my belly move as an elbow or leg seems to be trying to break through. I think it's 'scary' because of how real it is- I can feel a bony little extremity when I put my hand on the bump. Sometimes my whole stomach is lop-sided depending on the position he gets into. It's been a week or two where I'll actually jump and say, "Ouch" because of some extremity poking me. But, it's always reassuring to have him moving around. Tomorrow is my next doctor's appointment. It's been 6 weeks since from my last appointment. I'm on the 'every 4 weeks' rotation for appointments - but this last stretch was longer because of my doctor's schedule availability. So, I'm excited to go in tomorrow and be weighed and measured!
